from more than 160 different cultures. Logan is also a very
young city with more than 50 per cent of residents aged thirty

and gives us a real vibrancy.

Locals get to enjoy a warm, sub-tropical lifestyle with 500
parks across the city and a wealth of outdoor sporting and
recreational activities available. Cultural pursuits feature
strongly at our regional art gallery, museum, community centres
and the Logan Entertainment Centre.
Logan enjoys a growing reputation as an
educational precinct with more than 40 state and private schools,
including some with national recognition. Tertiary opportunities
are numerous, too, with a TAFE college, university campus
and teaching facilities at Logan Hospital.
Population
Logan is located in the heart of south-east Queensland, midway
between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. With a population of
around 170,000, Logan is Queensland's third largest city.
The city enjoys the best of all worlds. Its access to the
State's major transport links makes it an ideal residential
and business locale, but without the congestion or expense
of living in a capital city or a major tourist town.
Climate
South-east Queensland has one of the most enviable climates
in the world with warm, sub-tropical summers (21 - 37 degrees
Celsius), and mild, sunny winters (8-20 degrees Celsius).
There are 350 days per year where the temperature at 3pm in
Logan is between 15 and 27 degrees Celsius.
Annual rainfall is around 150mm per month
between December and March, and 50mm per month from June to
December.
