What is Electric Hazard (EH) Resistant Work Boots?

The hazards on the job site are never-ending and electrical protection is just one aspect to consider in your work environment.
Here at Ascent Footwear, we have designed work boots that feature either antistatic or electric hazard protection throughout our safety range.
What is Anti-Static?
When working around ignition hazardous or flammable materials, it is important to consider a safety boot with antistatic properties.
Our boots prevent static build-up by dissipating the electric charge through the sole of the boots.
The purpose is to prevent the build-up of enough static electricity to cause a spark.
The Oxide 2 is approved to the Australian & NZ Standards AS 2210.3:2019
What is Electric Hazard (EH) Resistant?
Wearing electric hazard (EH) resistant work boots provide an additional layer of protection from live electrical circuits, electronically energised conductors, parts and apparatus in conjunction with general safety processes.
The Alpha 2, Delta 2, Platinum, Sigma 2 and Unity styles all fall under this category.
How to Care For Your Boots

Remove any conductive materials that may be lodged in the outsole of your boots.

Regularly clean the outsoles after use and inspect their condition.

Store in a dry place away from electrical sources.

Avoid wet or humid conditions as much as possible to maintain EH protection.
If work boots are compromised in any way from contamination or general wear, dispose of them and replace them with a brand new pair.
